- GROUND TRANSPORTATION - RAILWAY - AUTOMOTIVE - INFRASTRUCTURE - WIND ENERGY - AERONAUTICS - SPORTING GOODS - GROUND TRANSPORTATION Among other projects, Sispra participated in the European R&D Project called “Hybrid Composite Production for the Transportation Sectors“leaded by the Newcastle University, the goal being the development of an advanced composite production process for the systematic manufacture of very large monocoque hybrid composite sandwich structures for the transportation sector.
<< Back - RAILWAY In collaboration with Metro de Madrid, we have developed Carbon Fiber Doors which are competitive in cost with the metallic ones. Our company has also produced series of sandwich floor panels and coupling systems made out of carbon fibers.

- AUTOMOTIVE Among other projects, Sispra takes part of the European R&D Project called "Super Light Car" leaded by Volkswagen Germany, the goal being the delivery of the technologies and design concepts that would allow up to 30% weight reduction in the C-class car models of the future generations, while respecting the very demanding cost restrictions of such popular models. Another application developed is a carbon fiber floor pan in the European Project "Tecabs".
<< Back - INFRASTRUCTURE Sispra has worked on this field from its beginning, as an example has actively collaborated with Acciona Infraestructuras in the engineering of the longest composites vehicle bridge in the world - 45 meters span – located near Asturias Airport in North Spain
<< Back - WIND ENERGY Sispra actively collaborates with a number of large wind turbine blades providing services of design of advanced components, structural optimization and manufacturing processing. Special enphasis has been put in the advanced engineering of large wind turbine blades made out of hybrid carbon/glass composite materials. Our nanoprepreg (TM) can be used as lightning protection system.
<< Back - AERONAUTICS Sispra is taking part of a number of projects in Aeronautics, such as the European R&D Project called “Integrated Tool for Simulation of Textile Composites” leaded by EADS Germany, the goal being the simulation along the process line with a virtual manufacturing chain incorporating the preform manufacturing, draping and impregnation process followed by the external loading of the finished component.
<< Back - SPORTING GOODS Advanced sporting goods formed by carbon nanofibers and composite materials have been developed. High performance, lightness, outstanding finishing and competitive pricing are their major concern. << Back
